they are made for hair and hands, not for tools that touch your face. many soaps are alkaline and can strip natural bristles. shampoos often include conditioners and perfume that cling to fibers, leaving a film that transfers back onto skin and can dull makeup glide. they also struggle with long-wear pigments, spf binders, and oily residue, so you scrub longer and risk wetting the ferrule.

our serum is different: a water-activated, skincare-grade system with salicylic acid to help break down oily residue and panthenol b5 plus jojoba to condition. it rinses completely clean with no added synthetic fragrance, helping break the transfer cycle for a smoother, more even application.

some makeup pigments can stain. we recommend that you use a few drops of gentle dish soap and gently massage the pad to remove residue.

Wet the bristles with lukewarm water. Add a few drops of the serum to the silicone pad. Gently swirl for 10 to 20 seconds to lift buildup. Rinse until water runs clear. Reshape and lay flat to dry. Keep water below the
ferrule to protect the brush.

Dampen fully. Apply the serum directly. Compress and release to work it through. Rinse and compress until the water runs clear, then air dry Do not scrub sponges on the pad. The pad is for brushes only.

Dense foundation brushes can hold on to long-wear makeup and natural oils. For a deeper reset: place only the bristles in lukewarm water with about one dropper of serum per cup for 10 to 15 minutes. Lift out, apply a few more drops directly, massage, swirl on the pad, and rinse until water runs
clear. You can repeat once if needed. After that first reset, weekly cleans usually take just a few drops and about 20 to 30 seconds per tool.

Highly pigmented creams and long-wear formulas can stain fibers, especially lighter bristles. Staining is not the same as residue. Clean tools = rinse water runs clear, bristles feel soft, and they reshape easily.

No. This serum was developed to cleanse and condition makeup tools, not strip them. Panthenol (pro vitamin B5) and jojoba help keep bristles soft and flexible, and rose water helps support brush integrity through repeated cleans. Safe for both synthetic and natural hair brushes, plus sponges and puffs. For natural hair, avoid soaking and keep water below the ferrule.

This product is not an acne treatment or drug. Keeping tools clean supports better makeup hygiene by reducing old product, oil, and debris on the tools that touch your face. Always rinse thoroughly and allow brushes and sponges to dry fully before using them on skin.

The formula is designed so it will not clog pores when tools are rinsed thoroughly and used as directed. It is made for brushes, sponges, and puffs. It is not a leave-on skincare product.
